It's been a slow few weeks at Margot...

Maybe it is because this is just what happens at this stage.  Maybe it is due to the fact that it is like 100 degrees here every day and I feel like nothing is getting done here.  Maybe I'm frustrated due to the lack of traffic looking at this house.  Or maybe it is moving along just fine and I'm a compulsive over-reactor?  Faithful readers, you tell me.  Let's take a tour, shall we?

1)  Where were you 10 years ago? Working for InfoUSA/Donnelley Marketing.  I was in Sales and just started to travel all over the Southeast.  My biggest concern was what my Delta Medallion status was as well as selling as much as possible. I certainly don't care about SkyMiles any longer, but still working on selling things...some things just don't change.

2)  5 things on my to-do list today..

Serve Snacks at Carter and Finn's Camp

Fax in paperwork for Margot

Work on the Margot budget/pay bills/work on my never ending spreadsheets

Confirm various contractors who should be at Margot on Monday

Go to a movie with Rob

3.  Snacks that enjoy.....  Well, somedays all I eat are snacks.  I like to eat small meals often.  So, let's see, crackers, fruit, nuts (any kind), any kind of candy, sometimes a spoonful of ice cream right from the carton. I love coke zero and fresca.  Staples in our home.

4.  What would I do if I was a billionaire....  well, I am.  ha ha ha.  Ok, seriously, I would start to build an amazing *forever* home, or two perhaps.  One here in Atlanta and another on Sea Island.  I'd also be thinking of how to use money more wisely to affect those around me.  Not sure what that would be--which is probably why I'm not a billionaire.  See, I'd just use the money for myself :)

So, that is what we have been up to.  It was a busy weekend for us with landscaping at Margot.  I'll update more on that later this week :)

Our newest addition......

Yep, we have a cast.  Carter started at a summer day camp last Monday for 2 weeks.  And while playing a game on a very safe turf field, he fell.  And bent his arm incorrectly.  And broke his growth plate in his elbow.  Who would have thought that could break?  Well, it does and it is very hard to see on an x-ray.  We were very fortunate to be at a camp that has its own athletic trainer on staff who wrapped up his arm and warned me that something was wrong.  She even helped direct me to an orthopedist who took us right away so NO WAITING room at the ER. Yippee! Carter now has e a full arm cast until July 11th.  No, it couldn't be the one to swim in, so we have another contraption that will create a vacuum seal on his arm for swimming.    All in all not a bad day for breaking something.  And now, Carter and Finn have both had a cast on.  Lucky ME.

Another Margot Update

I know that you just want pictures of Margot.  So, here she is!!!Her front is looking pretty good with new sod installed.  Plants are coming.

We are tired, but still working hard each week.  This week, we' will have color on the walls, more cabinetry installed and maybe a few plants outside.  It is HOT HOT HOT here in Atlanta.  So, I'm a bit nervous to plant, but no time like the present I suppose.  I have more pictures to share, so be on the lookout for more posts of our boy project :)

Back.....

Hi. I'm back.  Sorry to have left you with no new pictures for so long.  It will be longer.  My HP computer has taken a leave of absense.  Apparently it didn't like the new memory or backups that I've been doing.  So, it is now in another place.  A not-working place.  I am angry, and over all the computer problems with terrible technical support.  So I'm switching over to MAC!!!!  I can't wait.  I think I may purchase my new machine today.  And start to transition my life to a Mac one.  Bear with me.  It's gong to be rocky, but fun.

As for Margot.  She got an offer!  It was exciting, but did not work out.  The buyers thought I wanted to give her away AND make a LOT of custom changes to her.  It is a buyers market, but this just wasn't a good deal for Margot.  I tried to work with them, but Margot was not the house for them.  I'm nervous as it could be much longer before another perfect buyer comes a long.  But, this is the gig in real-estate investment.  You have good days and bad ones.  On a brighter note, she has new sod and a coat of paint on the trim now.  Pictures coming soon.  Promise. 

Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to do some Mac shopping!!!!!
